For over 30 years, we have been dedicated to preventing youth homelessness and supporting young people in building better futures.
Our Youth Housing Hub is a welcoming space where young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness can seek advice, discover new opportunities, and develop new skills in a supportive environment. Young people will have opportunities to engage in a variety of volunteering tasks within the Hub as well as having access to 1:1 and group training, developing a broad range of skills, including communication, conflict resolution, resilience, confidence building and youth work.
In addition to providing support and advice on a broad range of issues including homelessness, mental health, employment and the cost of living, The Project Worker will work with young people and partner organisations to develop a broad range of volunteering, employability, educational and wellbeing activities within the Hub.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Service Manager to lead our existing services and to help us ensure that every young person in these regions has access to youth specific services to help them avoid, resolve and move on from homelessness. In this key management role, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of our services, driving service quality, achieving key targets and supporting the development of new initiatives. Working alongside our management team, you will play a crucial role in implementing our strategy, ensuring regulatory standards are met and embedding policies and procedures across your team.

Working as part of our innovative Housing First for Youth Team, The Project Worker will work directly with young people to coordinate and provide emotional and practical support. Providing an assertive outreach approach, the Project Worker will work with young people to secure and manage their own permanent home, providing support in their home and in their local community to ensure that a young person’s experience of homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.
The Project Worker will support young people to improve their practical independent living skills, access other services and to reach their full potential. Project Workers are responsible for completing support plans and risk assessments and are the main contact for any key people involved in the care and support of young people.

Successful candidates must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within six months of their start date. Following registration, there is an ongoing requirement to achieve the necessary qualifications and engage in continuous professional learning. Role
As a Support Worker, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team providing safe, secure, and supportive accommodation for those who use our services. Your role will involve offering both practical and emotional support, empowering individuals to build confidence, develop essential life skills, and achieve their personal goals in all aspects of daily living through encouraging independent living.
Main Responsibilities:
The ARCH Resettlement Centre is a dedicated accommodation facility for vulnerable, homeless men aged 21+, providing tailored support to help them navigate the transition to independent living. As a Resettlement Support Worker within this service, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care, working as part of an established team to empower vulnerable men in a safe and supportive environment. This role operates on a 4-week rolling rota, which includes a variety of shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, ensuring continuous support for the individuals in our care. This role is on average 40 hours per week.
The Support Worker will:
* Collaborate with the team to provide safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless individuals.
* Utilise the case management system to support, review, monitor, and evaluate, ensuring positive, person-centred outcomes in compliance with organisational, statutory, and legislative requirements.
* Maintain and update all recording systems and documentation, including occupancy agreements, in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and practice guidelines within required timeframes.
* Plan and facilitate support group work, meetings, reviews, and other internal/external meetings in alignment with the individual's support plan.
* Offer general advocacy and advice, assisting individuals in meeting the conditions of their occupancy agreements.
Support Worker Role Profile
About You:
* Genuine Passion for Helping People: Demonstrate a sincere and unwavering commitment to supporting and improving the lives of individuals in need.
* Relevant Experience: Ideally, possess at least a minimum of one year of experience working with vulnerable populations and managing challenging behaviours. This experience can be derived from personal, voluntary, or professional engagements.
* Adherence to Standards and Regulations: Exhibit a strong commitment to practising in accordance with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Code of Practice for Social Service Workers (2024), National Care Standards, and the regulations set forth by the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care. Additionally, ensure compliance with the organisation's policies and procedures.
* Empathetic Approach: Ability to relate empathetically to individuals, recognising and respecting their right to make choices and maintain independence.
* Flexibility and Independence: Demonstrate the ability to work both flexibly and independently, adapting to various situations and working effectively as a lone worker when necessary.
* Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using Microsoft Office or equivalent applications, ensuring efficient and accurate documentation and communication.
* Registrational Qualifications: Hold an SVQ 3 or HND qualification in Health & Social Care (Adults) or an equivalent qualification in order to register with the SSSC.

The Children’s workers are responsible for providing day-to-day support for children in Ross-shire, Skye and Lochalsh Women’s Aid’s refuge and outreach programmes. This includes providing emotional support to individual children and young people including arranging and attending meetings with health, education, and social work. The children’s workers will work closely with Ross-shire, Skye and Lochalsh Women’s Aid and Outreach family workers to provide a comprehensive service across the local authority.
The role requires a range of experience and skills. You must be able to work independently and manage your own workload. You will be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work. You must have a strong commitment to equality and a feminist understanding of domestic abuse. You will have strong communication skills and will be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with children and young people as well as third party agencies.
