Job summary
The Clinical Staffing Assistant will be responsible to the Clinical Staffing Team Leader, for ensuring the continuity of service provision by coordinating cover and rotas for the Department's Consultants, SpR's, Specialty Doctors, and Resident Medical staff. The role involves recording, monitoring and identification of gaps in staffing levels including annual leave, study leave, and other unplanned absence, to ensure continuity of service.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for monitoring all medical rotas associated with the Divisions of Medicine and Urgent & Emergency Care, across all sites.
The post holder is required to complete all the administrative duties associated with the rotas.
The post holder is required to ensure that any gaps which threaten service delivery/provision are appropriately escalated to the Clinical Staffing Team Leader.

* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar setting.
* Experience of using excellent organisational skills to balance competing needs.
* Experience of and ability to manage own workload and coordinate effectively.
* Ability to deal with/negotiate and communicate effectively with senior NHS management and clinical teams.
* Good telephone manner.
Desirable
* Knowledge of E-roster system.
* Knowledge of recruitment process.
Qualifications/Training

* Minimum Education Grade C GCSE in Maths & English or equivalent qualification or experience.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
