Architectural Planner
Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
Salary: £30-40k
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm, one day working from home.
Key Responsibilities
1. Producing quality CAD/BIM drawings, including Land Registry Plans, floor plans, elevations, and details.
2. Preparation of Scope of Works and initial Briefing Notes for projects.
3. Site assessments and development potential, including planning histories, policy analysis, and interpretation of material considerations.
4. Preparing and submitting planning applications through the planning system.
5. Work with colleagues to increase knowledge of Planning Law and Practice and seek opportunities to develop and increase exposure to projects.
6. Liaising with Case Officers, Clients, and Consultants regarding third-party reports and project updates.
7. Planning advice on farm diversification and asset enhancement opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
1. Architectural qualification, ideally including planning-related modules.
2. Minimum 3 years planning and architectural experience, ideally at least 18 months in the private sector.
3. Proficiency using AutoCAD and Revit software.
4. Proven experience in producing accurate and attractive drawings for planning applications.
5. Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
6. The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.
7. A willingness to be part of a team, to assist and interact with your colleagues.
8. The ability to learn new skills and working methods and be adaptable to change.
9. A proactive approach to work.
10. Flexible team player.
Desired Qualifications
1. Good understanding of Photoshop, rendering software, and other graphic packages.
2. Good keyboard skills.
3. Experience in building and land surveys.
4. Report writing skills with good attention to detail.
