Temporary Maternity Cover We are looking for a highly motivated Deputy Team Manager to join our Family Placement Team, which is based in the Civic Centre, Keynsham. This is a full-time maternity cover post. You will be part of a Good local authority where Ofsted said children in Bath and North East Somerset receive a good service. Practitioners are creative, thoughtful and effective in making children safer, and keeping families together whenever possible. The Family Placement Team recruits, assesses and supports alternative carers such as kinship and foster carers as well as supported lodgings hosts, to provide homes for children and young people. We also recruit, assesses and support fostering families carers which is a unique model within the UK. This is an exciting time to join the team. We work systemically and passionately with a broad range of carers, to ensure that they have what they need to care for children. We support therapeutic models of parenting and support staff and carers to work in this way. We are looking for a candidate with experience of supporting diverse families to manage issues of risk and trauma. We are looking for a deputy team manager who wants to support kinship care in particular. You can expect: A comprehensive induction Managed caseload Regular supervision at a minimum of monthly one to one Monthly Peer Circles to ensure strong relationships and support between Deputy Team Managers across the teams Extensive training opportunities, which include SARI workshops around culturally sensitive practice, opportunities to join a 6-month long training in Systemic Practice delivered by the Centre for Systemic Social Work, attachment-based workshops, and trauma-informed workshops Excellent administrative support Tri-annual Social Work Conferences with guest speakers who are experts in the field.
