Financial Lines Development Consultant You'll be providing technical and commercial sales support on Financial and Professional (FinPro) Insurance products. You'll build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including our agency network, customers, insurers and NFU Mutual colleagues. Hybrid role with minimum 2 days per week in Stratford Upon Avon About the roleJust over 90 people work with us here in Wholesale Broking and Outplacement Services and, it’s fair to say, our remit is a varied and very important one Over the last 15 years, we have established a significant Financial Lines book of business across the 3 major Finpro lines, which is growing rapidly. We work with several financial lines insurers to find the right coverage for our Agent’s customers, building some great relationships in the marketplace. As a Financial Lines Development Consultant, you'll support the NFU Mutual Agency network with technical and commercial sales support on Financial and Professional (FinPro) products. You'll enhance the competency and capability of the network, identify potential gaps in customer cover, and recommend products that meet their requirements. Your role will involve proactively managing the new business pipeline, influencing and coaching the Agents and supporting customer calls. You’ll be developing comprehensive sales plans to help us reach more customers particularly in the SME market segment. You'll also provide market intelligence, negotiate with insurers, and attend customer meetings to ensure customers receive the best possible advice and cover. This role falls under Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, and as a result, role holders will be required to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development in role, along with undergoing regular re-screening to show that they are of “Good Repute”. Your background in sales, combined with experience within an insurance broker or insurer, will be invaluable in providing technical and commercial support to enhance the competency and capability of the NFU Mutual Agency network. Negotiation skills: You'll have strong negotiation skills, enabling you to secure the best possible terms for customers and providers. Your ability to navigate complex discussions will be crucial in achieving favourable outcomes. Influencing skills: You'll be able to influence and coach other FinPro team members and Agents, raising awareness of the NIS FinPro proposition and embedding best practice advice. Your ability to persuade and guide others will be key to maximising growth and ensuring customer insurance requirements are fully met.
