Working hours: 37 hours, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pmSalary: £25,000 per annum
Here at Serco leisure, we are recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Clerk who will be responsible for raising sales invoices for a number of our leisure centres and chasing up any queries that may arise from any customer disputes, to ensure that the Accounts Receivable department runs in a timely manner and adhering to Company Procedures. You will be working within the Central Finance team, processing customer invoices, credit notes and ensuring customers pay to term.
As part of this you’ll:
- Carrying out meticulous checks on invoice & credit note batches before processing to ensure minimal follow up
- Ensuring correct approvals are gained for invoices and credits prior to processing into the ledgers
- Bacs, cheques and cash allocations
- Investigating any payment discrepancies with the relevant person, and arranging credit notes if appropriate
- Continuous focus on debt collection ensuring that all overdue balances are addressed and followed up with supporting comments added to the ledger and communicated to the relevant people for resolution
- Monthly statement runs
- Assisting in the reconciliation of the Age Debtors for relevant contracts managers
- Provide support during audits where necessary
- Adhoc duties as required in line with business requirements.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- Good IT and numerical skills.
- Attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy.
- Previous experience required in a Sales/Purchase/Treasury Clerk role.
