Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic new opportunity for a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading construction on a long-term contract basis in Essex. The selected candidate will be working on a variety of exciting stage 3-5 data centre projects! This is a hybrid position that will require the successful individual to attend the office 2-3 days per week. Our client is looking for skilled engineers with solid expertise in large-scale projects and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality, detailed work.

Key responsibilities
Deliver high-quality electrical designs for data centre projects, focusing on RIBA stages 3-5.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of designs.
Produce detailed electrical drawings, calculations, and specifications to meet project requirements.
Review and assess project documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and addressing client queries.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the design process.
Requirements
Proven experience in electrical design, ideally within large-scale projects.
Familiarity with data centre design is preferred but not essential.
Strong technical acumen and the ability to produce high-quality, detailed work.
Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is desirable.
Availability to work on a hybrid basis, attending the office 2-3 days per week in Essex.
