Job Title: Site Agent
Location: Glasgow
Project: ASTI (Multi-Million Pound Framework for SSE)
Are you a talented and driven Agent looking to make a significant impact on a prestigious project? We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Agent to join and play a pivotal role in a brand new multi-million pound Power Transmission Framework for SSE. This position is currently at the Early Contractor Involvement stage, meaning you will join the team right at the start and see the projects through to completion. Your expertise will shape the success of this venture, and we're eager to welcome an experienced individual to our client’s team.
From now until Summer 2025, you will be based in our client’s Head Office in the outskirts of Glasgow. Afterward, you will be required to work on various sites between Inverness and Aberdeen.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and Manage Site Operations: Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
2. Project Planning: Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and methodologies.
3. Team Coordination: Work closely with Project Managers, Sub Agents, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
4. Subcontractor Oversight: Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring all work meets project specifications and standards.
5. Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain high standards.
6. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Implement and enforce policies on-site.
7. Progress Monitoring: Track project progress and proactively address any issues or delays.
8. Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication between the site team, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Experience: Proven experience as a Site Agent or in a similar senior supervisory role within large-scale infrastructure projects.
3. Skills: Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and project management. Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
4. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
5. Certifications: A valid CSCS card and relevant health and safety certifications.
6. Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure. Willingness to travel as required.
