At AtkinsRéalis, we're proud to say that the great work we do is thanks to our people's diversity of thought, expertise, and knowledge. When you join us, you'll be a part of this genuinely collaborative environment, where everyone's voice is valued and treated equally.
What you’ll be doing:
Engineers at AtkinsRéalis are at the heart of delivering transformative projects in the UK nuclear industry, reducing carbon emissions whilst achieving future energy security. Your work will span across areas including new nuclear power station design, developing fusion technologies, or implementing new nuclear waste management processes.
You will be working within the Nuclear and Power area of the business in the Power New Build team where your goal is to support the winning and delivery of numerous projects in nuclear operations. The main aspects of this role will require the development of a pipeline of work that helps us grow and then deploy capable staff as our clients’ projects move from construction through commissioning and pre-operations into operations. This will include taking the lead on working at a strategic level with our clients; advising on capability requirements within the Nuclear and Power business and supervising and guiding the delivery of high-quality technical work, and providing assistance on proposals and bids for future projects.
What you can bring:
Ideally applicants will be:
* Previously experienced in Operational Roles and/or Operational Support Roles at operational Nuclear Power Plants (ideally PWR technology plants).
* Credible as a nuclear professional, with behaviours and competencies that support a strong nuclear safety culture.
* Experienced in the construction, commissioning, and pre-operational environments with a strategic view of international best practice and operational focus.
* Experienced in the maintenance and outage environments for a nuclear power plant, bringing a strategic view of international best practice and the execution of work.
* Motivated to apply a mixture of technical and operational expertise to develop the right skills in our teams to support our clients in the latter stages of major nuclear new build projects and into the operational phases.
