As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide specialist interventions, undertake assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate care for older people with mental health needs. Assessments may require meeting with relatives or carers. You will manage your own caseload of patients and use your initiative to prioritize your work, supported by the Senior OT's.

This is a fixed-term, full-time post for 12 months, working Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job
You will contribute to discharge planning including home visits, community resources, and close liaison with community teams, carers, and other agencies.
You will provide comprehensive assessment reports and implement findings in liaison with the MDT.
In consultation with the MDT, you will plan and implement client-centered individual and group interventions, using activity analysis and graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals. You will delegate activity tasks where appropriate to MHSW/Activities staff, providing support and direction.
Regularly reflect upon interventions and outcomes to maintain and develop standards of clinical expert practice.
