As a Teacher of PE, you will deliver high-quality PE lessons to students across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5, promoting physical activity, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Your role will include planning and leading a variety of sports activities, tailoring lessons to meet the needs of all students, and encouraging them to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. You will also help to foster an environment where students develop important life skills such as leadership, collaboration, and perseverance.

Responsibilities Of a Physical Education Teacher (PE)
* Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
* Encourage students to actively participate in sports, building their physical fitness, motor skills, and teamwork abilities.
* Promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle through regular physical activity and fitness.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all physical activities and sports events.
* Differentiate lessons to accommodate a range of student abilities, ensuring all students are included and challenged appropriately.
* Foster an environment of positive behaviour management within the PE department.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
* Organise and participate in extracurricular sports activities, clubs, and events.
* Adhere to all school policies, including safeguarding and child protection regulations.
PE Teacher Qualification
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
* Experience teaching PE at the secondary school level is desirable.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in physical activities.
* Strong knowledge of Physical education, sports coaching, and fitness education.
* Passionate about promoting physical education and student health.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
