This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Reading in a key role to build on and lead the University’s strategic direction for equity, diversity and inclusion. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the University Executive Board and be responsible for aligning EDI work to the strategic aims and objectives of the University.
Based at our Green Flag Award-winning Whiteknights Campus in Reading, this role will enable you to use your expertise in EDI to improve our inclusive culture and working environment for all our colleagues and ensure we offer our students the best possible learning environment. You will have:
* The ability to think strategically and articulate strategic direction and actions to others in a meaningful way
* Experience developing EDI strategy and implementing it within a large and complex organisation
* The ability to balance priorities and embed good EDI practice across a large organisation
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Influencing and negotiating skills at a senior level in a leadership role
* Delivered effective solutions involving stakeholders as appropriate
