Smile Education are currently recruiting for an English teacher KS3 to work in an alternative provision in the perry bar area of Birmingham. The school are looking for a teacher with an SEN background. The role would be working Monday to Friday, 8:30-16:00 and the class teacher would have support staff within the classroom and heavy support from SLT of the school and the trust. The responsibilities of the English Teacher role: Plan and deliver captivating lessons in English to students in line with the curriculum Focus on creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that helps student engagement and critical thinking assess and evaluate student progress, offer constructive feedback and nurturing a love for learning will be central to your role. Be able to structure lesson plans for different level of student needs To apply for this English teacher role, you will need the following: A bachelor’s degree in education, English or a related field. Teaching certification or QTS. Proficiency in the secondary curriculum and effective instructional techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for teaching and motivating students to excel. Have experience or the desire to work within an SEN setting.
