If you have, we would love to hear from you!SALARY: £30,240 pro rata + BenefitsJOB TYPE: Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract until end of March 2026WORKING HOURS: 37 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday, including 1 evening deliveryLOCATION: Hybrid working with both site-based and remote work covering the Surrey RegionWORKING HOURS: 37 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday, including 1 evening deliveryPLEASE NOTE: There may be the requirement for the roles to deliver within the prison establishment.JOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner / Behaviour Change Intervention Specialist with experience of delivering cognitive / dialectical behavioural therapy (CBT & DBT) and working both face to face and remotely with perpetrators of domestic abuse and/or stalking.As the Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner / Behaviour Change Intervention Specialist you will assess, coordinate and deliver interventions to individuals identified as demonstrating domestic abuse and/or stalking and related behaviour on a 1:1 and/or group basis.Working as the Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner / Behaviour Change Intervention Specialist your role will require travel around the county in a range of settings including Police Stations, Probation offices, Prisons and company premises.You will work both face to face and remotely, via teams, with participants (both adults and young people, aged 14 and over) to deliver a specialist intervention using models of behaviour change (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) to address and change domestic abuse related behaviours and compulsive and obsessive thinking and behaviours.DUTIESYour duties as a Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner / Behaviour Change Intervention Specialist include:Maintain and complete accurate and timely records according to contract requirements, including case filesWork in partnership with other agencies and services to develop and promote a multi-agency approach to the risk assessment, management and rehabilitation of all casesParticipate in the supervision and appraisal process with your Line ManagerParticipate in clinical supervision as directedContribute to reports, reviews and evaluations required of the contractBe responsible for the assessment and induction of people accessing the service and development of engagement plansWork one evening per week with additional evenings and weekends, if requiredMaintain accurate and timely records of all attendance, engagement and behavioural issues in the case management systemMaintain up to date risk information, contributing to MASH/MAPPA/Stalking Management Meetings when required and in liaison with other colleagues and agenciesCarry out administrative procedures appropriatelyWork closely with volunteers, sessional staff and the Volunteer Co-ordinator to ensure productive, collaborative working relationships are maintainedWork alongside the Forensic Psychologist to effectively assess and manage the risk presented by individuals referred to the serviceCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSEssentialExperience of delivering cognitive behavioural therapyExperience of dealing with a wide range of peopleExperience of forming constructive working relationshipsExperience of working towards agreed outcomes including collaborative working with others (multi-agency approach)Experience of delivering group workExperience of working with domestic abuse perpetrators/challenging individualsExperience of managing a caseloadExperience of supporting risk management5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent), including EnglishExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to deliver an intensive one to one therapeutic intervention both face to face and remotely using a video conferencing platformAbility to manage disruptive, manipulative and aggressive behaviourIT literateDesirableProbation Officer qualified OR Diploma/foundation degree in Counselling OR Psychology degree OR previous experience of delivering cognitive behavioural interventionsKnowledge and experience of Dialectical Behaviour TherapyExperience of working with a range of social factors contributing to risk within domestic abuseExperience of contributing to both MASH & MAPPAExperience of providing therapeutic interventionsExperience of dealing with aggressive and challenging behaviourThis role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, adult and child, along with any required prison vetting.
