We are currently looking for compassionate support workers to provide support to a young man in his 20s who currently lives in the Gosport area. Your primary purpose will be to support this individual to live a meaningful, happy life. You will empower him to identify his goals, pursue hobbies, support his health and wellbeing, and be a part of the local community. This young man is an avid film buff, therefore an interest in films would be an advantage, particularly Harry Potter and Marvel Films Our current available working hours are as follows: Week A Tuesday /Wednesday/Thursday and Friday 8am to 8pm Tuesday and Wednesday Nights 8pm to 8am Week B Tuesday and Wednesday Nights 8pm to 8am Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 8am to 8pm Friday - 8am to 5pm. Is this role for you? Youre an experienced, empathetic and resilient Support Worker, deeply committed to assisting people with additional needs who can present challenging behaviour. Youre compassionate, observant, patient and confident in handling potentially difficult situations. You are skilled in monitoring changes in mood and developing techniques to calm and de-escalate. Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of complex needs including autism. Youre able to communicate clearly and sensitively with vulnerable people and their families, and always adopt a person-centred approach.
