Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with the ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff effectively. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes while ensuring food safety and maintaining high standards of hospitality.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
2. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
3. Maintain food safety standards in compliance with health regulations.
4. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
5. Collaborate with team members to create innovative menu items that enhance the dining experience.
6. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
7. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
8. Assist in menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Requirements
1. Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role.
2. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
3. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for culinary arts.
4. Leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen staff.
5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
6. Strong communication skills to foster teamwork within the kitchen.
