We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to manage and enhance IT infrastructure with a primary focus on VMware, Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, and providing support for network and security systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT services. Responsibilities: VMware Administration: Manage, maintain, and optimize a highly available VMware environment. Perform updates, patching, and monitoring to ensure stability and performance. Microsoft 365 & Azure: Oversee the configuration, deployment, and administration of Office 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams. Manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, resource groups, and Azure AD. Active Directory: Maintain and administer Active Directory, including group policies, DNS, and DHCP. Handle integrations with Azure AD and hybrid environments. Networking & Security: Support and troubleshoot network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Perform basic routing and VPN setup and management. Assist in maintaining IT security policies, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems. Infrastructure Support: Provide 3rd line support for complex technical issues escalated from the service desk. Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and solutions. Ensure backup and disaster recovery systems are operational and tested regularly. Project Work: Participate in infrastructure-related projects, such as upgrades, migrations, and implementations. Propose innovative solutions to improve efficiency and scalability. Requirements: Essential Skills and Experience: Proven experience in managing and supporting VMware environments. Strong expertise in Office 365 administration and Azure infrastructure. In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, including hybrid environments. Familiarity with network protocols, routing, VPNs, and troubleshooting tools like Wireshark. Solid understanding of IT security practices, including firewalls and endpoint protection. Desirable Skills: Experience working in compliance-focused environments (e.g., Cyber Essentials, ISO27001). Certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or CompTIA Network. Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell).
