Salary And Hybrid Working On Offer:
The salary on offer for the Senior Embedded Electronics Engineer is GBP 50,000 - GBP 60,000 per annum. Hybrid working of 3 days onsite and 2 days WFH is available.
The Role:
The Senior Embedded Electronics Engineer will join an innovative multi-disciplined engineering team of 11 professionals that consists of Electronics, Software, Mechanical, and Production. The Senior Embedded Electronics Engineer will have an exciting hands-on role where the work will be varied with a wide variety of exciting technologies that includes work being diverse, ranging from the design of Electronics Hardware, PCB Design, Embedded Software, and DSP, across the full product design lifecycle to bring products through to market from scratch.
Key Skills:
1. 5-10+ years industry experience
2. Experience in the full product design lifecycle: start to finish of products
3. Design and analyse electronic circuits, with a focus on both analogue and digital components, including amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and power supplies
4. PCB Design and Schematic Capture
5. Experience of Embedded C, C++, Python
6. Experience of FPGA Design: VHDL
7. Experience of microcontrollers and microprocessors
8. Network interfaces: SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, CAN etc.
9. Knowledge and experience of digital signal processing (DSP) techniques for applications like audio, image, or sensor data
10. Experience of Design for Manufacture and Assembly
11. Experience of product safety and compliance: CE Marking, UKCA, EMC, EMI
12. Practical skills: Fault finding, troubleshooting, debugging, prototype assembly and modification
13. Experience of high temperature electronics, wireline borehole logging: huge bonus
14. Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills
15. Strong team working ethics with the ability to work individually when required
16. Requires good listening, strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters in lay terms
17. Must have initiative, self-motivation and the confidence to make decisions
