Bassetlaw District Council has a clear Vision to become the greenest, most sustainable district to live and work by 2040. We have been successful in securing a huge amount of inward investment into the area, and it is crucial that we can recruit and develop talented staff to make the most of this investment to deliver the Vision. Our busy, friendly planning team is key to achieving this.
As part of this role, you’ll enjoy the challenge of working on both rural and urban projects whilst handling a varied case load of planning applications and appeals. You’ll manage your own caseload, dealing with a variety of applications, as well as pre-application enquiries to develop your experience and make a positive impact on Bassetlaw. You’ll ensure the environment of the district is protected by engaging with developers and other key stakeholders. You must therefore have strong analytical and judgment skills in order to interpret plans, information and data, as well as being a great problem solver.
We value the diversity of our people and actively encourage applications from all sections of the community. We maintain fair and well thought out recruitment processes at every stage to make sure that everyone is treated equally.
