Permanent Full-time, term time only role
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm and 39 weeks per year, term time only.
Salary: The pro-rata salary for this is £34,244.

About the role:
Working in a specialist day college with 22 pupils aged 16-25 years who have a broad range of physical and learning disabilities, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and Acquired Brain Injury.
Play a key role in ensuring that students gain the skills and confidence to communicate effectively as part of their journey towards living as independently as possible.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for learners with complex communication needs, to support their development and learning.
* Promote the development of students’ communication skills across College, supporting wider learning, taking an active role in the development of new provisions
* Accurately record all therapeutic interventions
* Complete complex assessments, pre – College assessment and, if appropriately trained, Dysphagia assessments where required
* Provide supervision and support to SLTs and professional advice, training, and information to College staff.
What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:
* HCPC registeration
* Willingness to undertake dysphagia training
* Experience and understanding of of PMLD, AAC, ASD and ABI
