Job Title: Junior Buyer - Womenswear
Client Details:
A multi-channel retailer in the Altrincham area. Starting out as a sports kit business, they have expanded over the last 40 years into both ladies and men's, more so recently into Homeware. The business is known for their friendly office culture and internal promotion opportunities. They are seeking to expand their Womenswear offering.
Description
1. Responsible for developing and delivering the online product ranges alongside the buying manager.
2. Provide seasonal direction based on knowledge and trends.
3. Maintain and update critical path, proactively communicating any changes to the relevant teams.
4. Work closely with suppliers and build strong negotiation skills.
5. Lab dip and bulk approvals ensuring all key dates are met to ensure on-time deliveries.
6. Solely responsible for all administration duties.
7. Ensuring the completion of all paperwork from planning the ranges through to completing the final purchase orders; attention to detail is crucial.
8. Working collaboratively with teams across the business to maximize sales across all channels.
9. Regular shopping trips for inspirational trends, both in the UK and abroad.
Profile
1. Have an excellent eye for product with the ability to react to future fashion trends.
2. Experience in womens/ladieswear apparel.
3. Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
4. Marketplace commercial awareness.
5. Good analytical skills, utilizing sales information to improve overall sales.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Be confident with strong presentation skills.
8. Be self-motivated and enthusiastic.
9. Proactive in decision making and problem solving, with the ability to work under pressure at times.
10. Ideally be able to drive & access to a vehicle.
