Job summary
The post holder will provide support, including administrative support, to PCIC's Director of Nursing and Quality and Safety/Clinical Governance team, via the Quality and Safety Manager, ensuring that effective and efficient clinical governance and quality and safety processes are developed and maintained.
To effectively implement the systems associated with quality and safety, developing working relationships within the PCIC Clinical Board, Primary Care contractors (GPs, dentists, pharmacists and optometrists), managed services and other UHB departments.
The post holder will be working with managers and staff of all levels in various parts of the UHB and with independent contractors and external stakeholders, often working autonomously when problems arise and identifying solutions. The post holder may represent the Quality and Safety team at Clinical Board and at meetings internal and external to the UHB.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide comprehensive and confidential administrative and governance support to PCIC Clinical Board management team and the Primary Care team to support the achievement of key performance and quality indicators
2. To assist with the implementation of policy and guidance over a number of key areas of activity
3. There will be a requirement to plan and organise a range of complex activities, with the ability to work unsupervised on some project areas
4. Undertake continual detailed information analysis from a range of sources. Providing update/feedback reports
5. The post holder will be required to manage and co-ordinate several activities simultaneously and demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail and autonomy
6. Line management of a small team of administrative staff.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
