The role is based at our Office in Darlington with an offer of hybrid working. The post holder will be required to work anywhere within County Durham and Darlington; however, the main area of work will be within Darlington.
We are looking for a passionate individual to support Carers in Darlington to help them develop the skills and confidence to communicate using digital tools. Strong IT skills and an ability to work with people on a one-to-one or in a small group setting is essential. You will be helping Carers to learn about the many benefits of using digital technology to keep connected.
You may assist with setting up laptops or tablets, navigating online applications, connecting with family and friends, or making informed choices about new technologies that could benefit them. Whether helping someone use a digital device for the first time or boosting their confidence with the basics, your support will be invaluable.
This project aims to foster confidence, understanding, and motivation by empowering Carers to use digital tools more effectively and navigate available resources.
The post requires an enhanced DBS. It is essential that you have a good knowledge of health and social care systems, a full driving licence, and access to a car.
