Millfield School is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Deputy Director of Sport from June 2025. This pivotal role involves leading the routine operational coordination of the Sports Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality sports programmes across approximately 30 sports.
As the Deputy Director of Sports, you will report directly to the Director of Sports (DoS) and will be an integral member of the Sports Central Ops Team, collaborating with the planning and event management lead to support the efficient delivery of sports events and programmes.
The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in managing sports programmes, logistics, staffing, and financial oversight. You will be an excellent problem-solver, team player, and negotiator, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with national governing bodies, knowledge of SOCS, and a background in coaching or sports administration would be advantageous.
This is a full-time role which includes work during the school holidays, working an average of 42 hours per week across Monday to Saturday. In return you will receive a salary of £55,000 - £63,000 per annum (commensurate with experience), 10 weeks holiday per annum to be taken outside of term time, plus an extensive range of staff benefits.
