About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s (Eastern) Elective Orthopaedic service as Band 6 Team Lead Physiotherapist. This position is based at the South-West Ambulatory Orthopaedic Centre (SWAOC) at the Nightingale Hospital.
This 37.5 hour/week position (fixed term for 12 months) will carry a clinical caseload of complex patients across the Orthopaedic unit; ensuring assessment and treatment of all patients from pre-assessment and prehab through to post-operative assessment and rehabilitation, to deliver a rapid flow of patients through the service and timely follow-up.
The post-holder will provide management and supervision of the Physiotherapy team; and the communication of the rehabilitation process and related information to patients and relatives. They will be responsible for monitoring therapy performance and outcomes across the unit.
The post holder will assist with the training and development of less experienced staff, undergraduates and other professionals as required and contribute to the development and delivery of a safe and effective, evidenced based service.
Working Pattern: up to 37.5 hours per week. The post will be across 7 days including weekends and bank holidays. Hours of work will be between 8am and 8pm. Full and part time positions available.
