One of our most exciting clients, a global pharmaceutical company who are going through a significant growth period are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical). You will ensure the efficient and compliant operation of estate-wide services and equipment in both critical and non-critical environments. This includes overseeing routine maintenance, troubleshooting faults, and supporting small installations and projects. Additionally, you will participate in an on-call rotation to provide essential coverage for operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment across various systems, including steam boilers, compressed air systems, air handling units (AHUs), vacuum systems, reverse osmosis systems, and more.
* Monitor the Building Management System (BMS) for running equipment and respond to alarm conditions.
* Investigate mechanical and electrical faults, identifying root causes and implementing corrective remedies.
* Support small installation projects as required.
* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, Health & Safety (H&S) standards, and GxP documentation.
* Provide support and training to other team members, leveraging your expertise to contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization.
* Maintain critical spares inventory, ensuring effective storage and timely access.
* Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in 6) and cover for holiday or sickness absences as needed.
* Propose initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
* Ensure efficient energy management through the control and use of plant and systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
* City & Guilds electrical qualification (BS7671 & C&G 2391) and mechanical qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).
* Educated to ONC/HNC (Level 3/4).
* Knowledge of steam boilers, AHUs, FCUs, compressed air systems, VSDs, and motor control systems.
* Experience with CMMS and BMS systems.
