Job Title: Social Worker – Single Point of Contact Team
Location: Gateshead
Rate: £231.00 per day
An exciting job role has recently become available at the Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council. They are looking for a new member for their Single Point of Contact Team.
Your Responsibilities:
You will progress safeguarding enquiries, risk assessments, and action plans. You will mentor and support the development of practice, skills, and knowledge within the team. Additionally, you will ensure the provision of high-quality social care services that meet policies, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications and Experiences:
You should have experience in adult social care, particularly in safeguarding and triage roles. Proficiency in conducting assessments and making informed decisions based on those assessments is highly valued. You should have an understanding of safeguarding adults procedures and the ability to apply them in practice. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and other professionals, as well as the ability to analyze complex information and make sound decisions, are essential. To be eligible for this role, you must have Social Work England registration and be eligible to work in the UK. Additionally, you need to hold a full UK driving licence and possess post-qualified experience. A degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work is also required.
