We are looking for an experienced and adaptable individual to join our new team, as part of STEP Project in Denbighshire .
The aim of this project is to provide a better, overall, experience of living in temporary accommodation in Denbighshire, where people are supported to improve their wellbeing and build on their future.
STEP will support up to 50 households who currently reside in temporary accommodation. Support will initially begin in existing temporary settings in the borough (B&B), before transitioning into bespoke supported living facilities, as these premises become available.
STEP is at the beginning of its journey and we are looking for a unique and talented person who is keen to travel with us.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To work as part of a team taking shared responsibility for delivering our programme of holistic and tenancy focused support to families and single people living in temporary emergency accommodation across multiple sites in Rhyl.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to:
2. Demonstrate knowledge around homelessness and the key needs experienced by vulnerable homeless people.
3. Demonstrate sound knowledge of the benefits systems.
4. Demonstrate great communication and IT skills.
5. Enjoy working as part of a team and also have the confidence to be self-directed and work alone when needed.
6. Hold the ability to work in sympathy with the spiritual principles of The Salvation Army.
