We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a background in teaching or tutoring to support our students effectively. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to deliver tailored educational programs, provide individual and group support, and contribute to the overall development of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons under the guidance of teaching staff.
2. Provide support to students, both individually and in groups, to facilitate their learning and development. Utilize teaching and learning strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, Sensory Integration, and Intensive Interaction to support students with complex needs.
3. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to assessment processes.
4. Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
5. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
Requirements:
1. Relevant qualifications at a minimum Level 5 in a related discipline.
2. Experience in teaching, tutoring, or a similar educational role.
3. Experience working with students with complex needs in a special school environment.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
