Job Description:
Paradigm Housing Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Roofer to join our Roofing Repairs Team as part of our growing Direct Labour Operations (DLO). This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and repairing roofs for our properties, ensuring safety, durability, and excellence in service delivery to our customers.
About the Role
As a Roofer in our Roofing Repairs Team, you will independently carry out day-to-day roofing maintenance and repairs. Tasks include fixing damaged parts (e.g., broken shingles), setting up systems such as insulation and vapor barriers, and constructing robust roofs that protect against weather conditions. You’ll work unsupervised, adhering to health and safety regulations and Paradigm’s policies to deliver top quality results.
You'll need strong proficiency in handling various materials (e.g., wood, asphalt) and tools, such as roofing hatchets and shingle cutters. The ability to work at height, on ladders, and scaffolds for extended periods is essential. Knowledge of flat or pitched roofing styles is required, and additional skills in minor carpentry will be an advantage.
Why Paradigm? As part of Paradigm's DLO, you'll enjoy:
A fully equipped hybrid van, with fuel card managed and insured by us to use for business usage.
An electronic tablet to access job schedules, company news, and more.
25 days annual leave + bank holidays + a 3-day shutdown between Christmas & New Years.
An Excellent Benefits package (full list of our company benefits can be found in the advert listing on our website under the advert wording).
You’ll represent Paradigm with a friendly and professional demeanour, delivering exceptional customer service alongside high standards in roofing work.
Relevant City & Guilds qualification, NVQ, or equivalent experience in roofing trades.
Proven experience in roofing maintenance and repairs, with expertise in flat or pitched roofing.
Physical fitness, good balance, and ability to work at heights for long hours.
A valid UK driving license.
Sound knowledge of building regulations, construction practices, and health and safety standards.
Preferred Skills:
Minor carpentry skills to complement roofing repairs.
Ability to mentor or guide apprentices as required.
If you are ready to contribute your skills and join a team dedicated to maintaining Paradigm's properties to the highest standards, we’d love to hear from you.
