Newark and Sherwood District Council is looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our Housing Income and Leaseholder Management team.
In this role, you will lead the Income Management Team to ensure rents and service charges are appropriately charged, tenancies are sustained, and rent recovery is maximised.

What you will do in this role:
Lead and manage a highly effective, responsive, and professional income management service.
Engage and support tenants by collecting income with care and empathy to enable tenancy success.
Ensure accurate charging of rent and service charges in line with policy and regulatory requirements.
Continuously improve service delivery to meet the needs of tenants and the Council.
Manage team performance and development to meet performance and quality targets.
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
Proven track record of managing outstanding customer-focused services and motivating staff.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Forward-thinking and results-focused with a commitment to the Council's vision and core values.
Significant experience in a housing environment and leading income recovery and sustainment services is desirable but not essential.
