Job Overview
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join the current ENT team based at Furness General Hospital, on the doorstep of the Lake District. The Lake District is England's largest National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is the perfect area for those looking for a fantastic work-life balance in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.
You will work Cross Bay with Furness General Hospital as the main site. You will be contracted for 10 sessions per week with the option to increase along with service needs. The post holder will need to have a broad experience in general ENT. Any subspecialty interest will be actively supported.

Main Duties of the Job
You will work as part of the ENT team to provide a high-quality ENT service that aims to provide excellent patient care. This includes delivery of out-patient, emergency, day-case and inpatient services independently.
You will be expected to manage your own work programme within the broad parameters of Department policies and procedures, and will be responsible for determining the associated work activities using your initiative.
Working Hours: As job plan
On-call: 1:5 on-call weekends and 1:4 weekdays with prospective cover.
The anticipated job plan is included but may be subject to changes and involve working at other sites within the UHMB community.
Working for Our Organisation
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise at time of appointment
* Entry on the GMC specialist register or be within six months of obtaining your CCT at the time of interview
* FRCS or an equivalent appropriate higher surgical qualification
* Evidence of audit and research experience
* Higher professional qualification in ENT surgery, Teaching or Research and education
Experience
* Significant experience in management of ENT
* Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
* Evidence of involvement and experience in audit
* Developed area of specialist interest
* Previous employment in the NHS
* Broad based ENT exposure for adults, paeds and emergencies
