We are looking to recruit a Caretaker to join our highly effective, supportive and well-led Facilities Management team.
The role of caretaker is to support the Head of Facilities Management and her team in ensuring that the school is well-maintained, safe and secure. The team works hard to provide a timely service to the School, other staff, pupils, external and community users, responding to reactive and planned activities, ensuring contractual compliance and commercial efficiencies.
The post holder should have a broad range and excellent standard of practical skills and operational knowledge and experience of Facilities Management, ideally within a School environment. All duties are to be carried out in a manner that is compliant with current Health and Safety Regulations.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have confidence in dealing with colleagues and pupils. A positive and professional approach is essential.
Hours: 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, during which two breaks of 30 minutes may be taken. This is a full-year post with holiday to be taken at times agreed with the Deputy Head (Operations).
Salary : Local Government Scale Point 2 – 10 (depending on skills and experience) including Outer London weighting. Actual salary of £27,345 - £30,630 per annum. Membership of Local Government Pension Scheme.
