Our client supplies, installs, and services a range of industrial Battery Chargers and related products for industrial Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a nationwide team responsible for servicing Battery Chargers and their related Battery Packs at commercial/industrial locations.
Responsibilities
1. Organise and complete service visits according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
2. Position, install, and commission equipment at customer sites.
3. Repair equipment.
4. Advise Head Office of any sales opportunities identified during the course of duties.
5. Promote the company and act in a professional and diplomatic manner at all times.
6. Adhere to quality standards at all times.
7. Survey new and existing sites for installation purposes.
8. Provide feedback on quality issues to the office.
9. Provide Technical Support to colleagues and customers as required.
Qualifications and Experience
Any of the following experience and qualifications would be beneficial although training will be given:
1. Electrical/Electronic fault finding.
2. Electromechanical Installation e.g. BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regs.
3. Understanding of SLA, NiCD, and Plante batteries.
4. Experience working with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), UKPN, National Grid, or London Underground would be beneficial.
5. Experience with Battery chargers, UPS, Backup power systems/supply, emergency lighting beneficial.
6. Substations access experience e.g. UKPN, National Grid, Western Power, Southern Power, Scottish Power, Electrical Authorised person, and CSCS all beneficial.
7. UK Driving License and eligibility to work in the UK are essential.
