A fantastic secondary school located just outside the city centre of Liverpool are presenting an exciting opportunity for a high-achieving STEM graduate to join their team as a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant. After recently being graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, the school are looking to maintain their high standards by providing additional support across STEM subjects for their students.
This school have identified STEM subjects as an essential part of every day life – they place a large emphasis on providing the best possible opportunities for their students to be exposed to all elements of the subject area. The school have spent a significant amount of money on ensuring their STEM resources and facilities are second-to-none, meaning the staff have a plethora of options when creating engaging and stimulating lessons that will enthuse their students.
As a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who are beginning preparation for crucial exam periods. The role will include 1-1 and small group work where you will have the opportunity to take a leading role in helping struggling students to be in the best possible position to reach their targeted grades. The role will include a mixture of classroom and practical work, providing a variety of opportunities for you to gain a well-rounded experience and put you in the best possible position to be prepared for teacher training in the future.
