Job Description:
CTS and our range of independent UKAS accredited laboratories provide on-site testing and laboratory services to the construction, quarry products and civil engineering industries across the whole of the UK.
Our purpose-built laboratories are fully equipped to test the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of soils, aggregates, concrete and bituminous materials as well as other construction materials and products.
Our highly-trained technicians and engineers either visit sites and take representative samples for subsequent laboratory testing, or conduct in-situ field tests.
We are looking for Site Technicians to join our team in Bristol for Concrete, Asphalt and soil testing and sampling.
This is a no experience necessary position as we will give full training! All we need from you is a strong work ethic, and a liking for being outdoors!
You'll be outside away from stuffy offices working on a wide variety of sites across the Southwest carrying out on-site testing and sampling activities.
There will be some early starts with a fair bit of travelling - but who likes to be in the same place day in day out? You may even be asked to stay away or work night shifts now and again - but that adds to the excitement of a new career right? (We of course, pay allowances for this too.)
Experience / Skills:
1. Educated to GCSE level or above with a good level of numeracy and literacy.
2. Experience in construction laboratory testing is advantageous.
3. IT literate.
4. Full UK Driving License.
5. The role will also require accurate and consistent record keeping.
Working hours:
40 hours per week (longer days to be expected with travel) Working Monday - Friday (night work when necessary with options for weekend work when available)
