Wood is currently sourcing an experienced Painter & Blaster for an upcoming opportunity in our maintenance team in Hastings, Victoria.
We are looking for a candidate with strong commitment to safety, someone who enjoys working in a team, is self-motivated, and can prioritise work to meet deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform abrasive blasting to clean and prepare surfaces for painting
2. Apply protective coatings and finishes according to specifications
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication (Surface Finishing or Surface Preparation & Coating) preferred
2. Construction Induction
3. High Risk Work Licence - WP - preferred
4. Work at Heights Certification - preferred
5. Experience in oil & Gas - preferred
6. Drivers Licence
7. Experience working in a multi-disciplined team highly regarded (Sheetmetal, Painting)
8. Demonstrated high commitment to safety
9. Commitment to HSE
10. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
