About the Role
The Senior Wholesale Executive will be instrumental in driving Jampot’s growth by securing large/key accounts and private label opportunities. Focusing exclusively on new business development, this role requires a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in the coffee industry. The ideal candidate will leverage Jampot’s unique value proposition and cross-selling opportunities to close significant deals swiftly. Compensation includes a competitive base salary and a lucrative commission structure aligned with our rapid growth trajectory.
Key Accountabilities/Main Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development
* Identify and Target Prospective Clients: Research and pinpoint potential large/key accounts and private label partners within the coffee, hospitality, and food service sectors.
* Develop Customized Sales Strategies: Craft and implement tailored sales approaches that align with each prospective client’s specific needs and objectives.
* Lead Generation and Outreach: Utilize industry networks, market research, and innovative outreach methods to generate leads and initiate contact with decision-makers.
* Conduct Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations that effectively communicate Jampot’s unique value proposition.
* Negotiate Contracts: Skillfully negotiate terms and conditions to secure mutually beneficial agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
* Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas, contributing directly to the company’s revenue growth.
Market Analysis and Strategy
* Monitor Industry Trends: Stay informed about market developments, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the coffee industry.
* Provide Market Feedback: Communicate insights and feedback from the field to the Wholesale Manager and other relevant departments to inform product development and marketing strategies.
* Identify Cross-Selling Opportunities: Recognize and pursue opportunities to offer additional products from sister companies, such as baked goods and equipment, to enhance client relationships and increase revenue streams.
Collaboration and Reporting
* Coordinate with Internal Teams: Work closely with the Roastery, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients and fulfillment of their requirements.
* Maintain CRM Systems: Diligently update customer relationship management systems with accurate and up-to-date information on leads, prospects, and sales activities.
* Report Progress: Regularly provide detailed reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts to the Wholesale Manager.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
* Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years in wholesale coffee sales, with a demonstrated ability to secure and manage large/key accounts.
* Client Network: Established relationships with key decision-makers in the coffee, hospitality, and food service industries.
* CRM: Familiarity with wholesale operations and CRM systems.
* Proven Track Record: History of consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets in previous roles.
Required Skills:
* Sales Expertise: Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to close complex deals effectively.
* Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of coffee supply chains, including direct trade and specialty coffee markets.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of engaging and persuading diverse stakeholders.
* Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategic plans.
* Self-Motivation: Highly motivated and results-driven, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
* Organizational Skills: Proficient in managing multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously, with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
* Coffee Origins/Green Coffee Experience: Experience in coffee origins, processing methods, green coffee quality, and roasting profiles.
* Product Development: Ability to collaborate with the Roastery team to develop bespoke blends or profiles tailored to client needs.
* Sustainability: Understanding of sustainable coffee practices and the ability to align sales strategies with client values regarding transparency and ethical sourcing.
