Overview:
The purpose of this role is to oversee the delivery of cleaning and security services, ensuring they meet the agreed specifications, performance standards, and financial targets. Additionally, the role involves providing leadership and line management to the delivery teams within the designated area of operation, holding responsibility for outstanding service delivery while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Security & Customer Care: Ensure effective security operations and excellent customer care to enhance the guest experience.
* Team Management: Compile and distribute duty rotas, manage recruitment, performance appraisals, mentoring, and the disciplinary process for Security Duty Managers and Cleaning Team Leaders.
* Cleaning Standards: Take full responsibility for the cleaning operations, ensuring high hygiene standards, including public and high-traffic spaces.
* Sustainability: Develop and implement sustainable cleaning practices, promote recycling, and ensure eco-friendly waste disposal to reduce environmental impact.
* Sub-contracted Services: Manage the delivery of all sub-contracted and bought-in services to meet service standards.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee operational procedures within both the cleaning and security teams, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* People Management: Foster a positive, collaborative culture, empowering and motivating team members, promoting mental well-being, and acting as an ambassador for the Centre.
* Budget Management: Establish and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring efficient resource use and productivity.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support the overall objectives of the Centre.
* Incident Control: Record all accidents and near misses, managing serious incidents as necessary. Maintain first aid kit supplies and conduct regular checks of common areas.
Key Skills & Experience:
* 3+ years of experience in security and facilities management within retail, leisure, or hospitality.
* Strong leadership skills with valid SIA Security Licence and Public Space Surveillance Licence (if required).
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to compliance.
* Flexible with work patterns, including weekends,– **1 in 7 weekends**
* Experience managing services within a budget.
* IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualifications preferred.
