Job summary
This post provides an exciting opportunity for a senior clinician to work on our Adult Mental Health Wards, based across two sites (Highbury in Bulwell, Nottingham & Sherwood Oaks in Mansfield).
The post holder will work across nine wards taking referrals to support the nutritional needs of our mental health patients holding a varied caseload with dynamic needs.
This post holder will be an autonomous working as a sole practitioner working closely with the MDT and will be supported as part of the Inpatient Therapy Team, which consists of Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists and a Physiotherapist. It is also supported by a Professional Lead Dietitian across the care group and Care Group AHP Lead.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Lead Dietitian will be responsible for the integration and provision of a comprehensive and quality dietetic service for all AMH inpatients. The post holder will use expert knowledge and experience to educate and support patients and their carers regarding their dietary management. The post holder will provide specialist nutritional and dietetic advice, support, clinical assessment and education to patients/carers, nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
The Clinical Lead Dietitian will contribute to further service development, policy writing and lead on delegated service development projects.

* HCPC registration as a Dietitian
* Appropriate range of post registration specialist professional knowledge and experience acquired through recognised academic study and practical clinical education
Desirable criteria
* Leadership course
* Membership of British Dietetic Association (BDA)
* Member of British Dietetic Specialist Group e.g. mental health
* Completed student education training
