DETAILS
JOB TITLE: Summer Trip Assistant REPORT TO: Operations Manager South
SALARY: £12.21 per hour CONTRACT TYPE: Full time: 37.5 hours per week from May-September (Some weekend & evening work required)
The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a national charity that takes young people aged 8-24 sailing and on outdoor adventures to inspire them to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. Cancer can have a big impact on a young person’s mental wellbeing. For many young people, simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis isn’t possible. That is why when treatment ends, our work begins. We believe every young person should feel accepted, independent, and optimistic living through and beyond cancer. Through sailing and outdoor adventure, young people have fun, gain a new sense of purpose and self-worth, rediscover independence, and feel optimism for the future. They realise what they are capable of again - physically, mentally, and socially – and stop feeling like ‘the only one’. They can believe in a brighter future.
* Trip support including on-land activities
* Post-trip unpacking & cleaning
* Provide operational and administrative support to wider team when required
Please note: During the trip peak season from mid-June to mid-September, annual leave is agreed with, and at the discretion of your line manager.
* Interviews: Will take place week commencing 31 March 2025 at our East Cowes office or online.
* Start date: (Ideally) Paid induction to take place early/mid April, starting full time from 6 May 2025.
