Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Depending on Experience
Working hours: 41 hours per week to include 1 weekend day

Job Overview:
Our store based in South West London is currently looking for either an experienced Assistant Manager who is looking for a new challenge or an experienced Optical Assistant/Supervisor wanting to progress into a management role.
As Assistant Store Manager, you will support the store directors and management team in the effective running of the store. You will supervise, coach, and motivate staff to achieve excellent retail standards and customer service. You will inspire the team and use KPIs to increase sales, minimize costs, and maximize profits.

Your Role:
* Lead by example providing first-class customer service to customers.
* Deputy for the Manager when they are away from the business.
* Be a role model for excellent management within your store.
* Ensure the store is always looking its best and presented to the highest standards.
* Act as an escalation point for the team to resolve customer concerns.
* Assist the In-Store Trainer to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required within the team.
* Drive and set store KPIs, challenging poor performance positively and rewarding great performance.
* Support the Management team with daily team meetings.
* Provide support with regular 1-2-1s, performance reviews, and development opportunities.
* Support the Manager with staff rostering and daily organization.
* Champion a continuous improvement mindset.
* Drive efficiencies and profitability in store operations.
* Support the store partners and store manager with business planning activities.
* Maintain a commitment to continual self-development.
* Ad hoc duties as directed by Store Directors or senior management.
