About Coram
Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service is an exciting and innovative place to work, offering art and music therapy, therapeutic parenting, drama therapy, clinical psychology, and family therapy to children in schools, at home, and at our dedicated creative therapies building on the Coram Campus. We work with children and young people in schools providing creative therapies to help build resilience, strengthen relational and self-awareness skills, and reduce mental health challenges. We also have expertise in adapting this work when working with children with neuro-diversity and children with special educational needs. We are currently hiring for our creative therapy interventions in London schools (Camden and Lambeth) and our therapeutic work with adopted and special guardianship order (SGO) children and families in our Coram centre.
We work within diverse communities and consciously challenge ourselves and our practice, seeking at all times to develop opportunities for anti-racist practice. We want to reflect the communities we serve and welcome applications from therapists who come from global majority communities.
About the Role
We are seeking an art therapist to carry out work across several of our projects, including creative therapy interventions in schools (Camden or Lambeth) and provide creative therapy in our Coram centre with adopted and SGO children and their families. The therapist will be able to work autonomously, manage their own caseload, and have experience of working with children and their families. You will receive supervision, support from a multi-disciplinary team, and participate in weekly group clinical reflections and team meetings. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic art therapist, with experience working with children and families in schools or with adopted/SGO children, and working within different contexts.
