Job Responsibilities:
1. Take full responsibility for managing construction activities within a specific section of the airport project.
2. Plan, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure efficient and safe project delivery.
3. Ensure works are carried out according to design specifications, contract requirements, and project schedules.
4. Identify and resolve site challenges, implementing solutions to maintain progress.
5. Ensure minimal disruption to airport operations by coordinating activities with airport authorities.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
1. Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including Heathrow's safety policies and CDM 2015 requirements.
2. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
3. Lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure all personnel understand safety protocols.
4. Promote a culture of safety, reporting and addressing any hazards or incidents promptly.
Stakeholder & Team Coordination:
1. Act as the main site contact for clients, airport authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams.
2. Liaise with designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
3. Chair site meetings, progress reviews, and provide updates to senior management.
4. Coordinate logistics and deliveries, ensuring site access adheres to airport security regulations.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
1. Oversee and implement quality control measures, ensuring work is completed to high standards.
2. Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and work package plans.
3. Ensure all works comply with Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL) regulations and industry standards.
4. Manage snagging, defects, and project handover documentation.
Commercial & Cost Management:
1. Monitor project costs, budgets, and resource allocations, ensuring cost-effective practices.
2. Work closely with commercial teams to track variations, claims, and payment applications.
3. Ensure materials, equipment, and resources are procured and utilized efficiently.
4. Maintain up-to-date site records, including progress reports, site diaries, and HSE documentation.
5. Track project milestones and key deliverables, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
6. Identify potential delays or risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
1. Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Extensive experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects, ideally within an airport or highly regulated environment.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulatory requirements.
4. CSCS card, SMSTS certification, and relevant health and safety qualifications.
5. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project).
6. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

2. Potential for night shifts, weekend work, and variable hours to align with airport scheduling.
