Reporting to the Head of Marketing Communications and working across the Group. Responsible for producing a range of content including web copy, product descriptions, newsletters and blog posts. Being proactive by coming up with new ideas and recommendations for our owned media content to ensure organic growth and engagement.
Key Accountabilities:
1. To produce a range of content aligned to our Tone of Voice and brand guidelines, including:
a. Producing copy for tactical campaigns and key trading events including peak, campaigns, brand launches etc.
b. Developing product descriptions and associated content, for new brand or product launches.
c. Creating thought leadership and educational copy for our blog and email communications.
d. Newsletters and other supporting collateral for our affiliate marketing activity.
e. Creating SEO-optimised copy for new brand and product launches across product pages, landing pages, banners, and mailers.
2. Optimising existing copy, to improve Conversion Rate and our Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) performance using keyword research tools.
3. Contributing to new content ideas in monthly and quarterly planning sessions.
4. Monitoring competitor activity and highlighting opportunities and threats with the wider team.
5. Monitoring brand sentiment, highlighting positive news stories to be utilised across wider communications and negative press to be responded to.
6. Supporting with the updating and maintenance of other website assets, as required.
Person Specification
Essential:
· English Literature/Language or relating degree.
· Writing experience across different formats (eg. Long form, short form, editorial).
· A natural flair writing for different marketing channels and purposes.
· Ability to be open to and be able to develop new and creative ideas.
· Ability to analyse and present content performance.
· Excellent communication and writing skills.
· Awareness of how content impacts SEO.
· Ability to put the customer at the heart of all we do.
· Proactive and ability to make a difference.
· Flexibility in terms of role, supporting the wider business.
· Willing to work flexible hours to include weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
Desirable:
· Experience creating content and growing a social audience.
· Working experience of Google Analytics.
· Experience of working in the beauty/cosmeceuticals industry.
· Retail experience (ideally in Health and Beauty).
· Positive attitude with high level of motivation, initiative, and creativity.
· Understand the beauty industry and buying motivators specifically in relation to the Face the Future brand and industry.
· Passionate about the world of beauty and keeping abreast of changes within the industry.
