Retail Productivity and Profit Protection Manager
As we continue our mission to make people happy through chocolate, we’re looking for a Retail Productivity and Profit Protection Manager to join our Omnichannel team on a permanent basis.
As Retail Productivity and Profit Protection Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind optimising how our stores operate. You’ll use data-driven insights and creative problem-solving to maximise efficiency and safeguard profitability – all while ensuring our customers experience the magic of Hotel Chocolat.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on balancing art and science: from analysing footfall patterns to enhancing scheduling, to designing and implementing stock management processes, to uncovering opportunities for cost-saving without compromising quality.

The on-site location for this role is our support office, ‘Mint House’, in Royston, Hertfordshire. Our home from the very beginning, it’s just off the A505 and 10 minutes’ walk from Royston train station, with direct rail links to London King’s Cross. You will join us on site for two days a week and this role involves UK wide travel as required.
What you’ll be doing…
* Developing loss prevention strategies to reduce theft, fraud, and shrinkage.
* Analysing data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
* Investigating incidents of loss, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
* Maintaining compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
* Identifying inefficiencies in store operations and developing strategies to improve processes.
* Collaborating with retail and store teams to optimise workforce planning and resource allocation.
* Working with the Operations team to enhance productivity and profitability.
* Leading cross-functional initiatives to promote a culture of accountability and vigilance.
* Training store teams on loss prevention processes, operational standards, and compliance requirements.
* Partnering with store managers to ensure alignment with company objectives and strategies.
* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, retail teams, and external partners.
* Providing regular updates and actionable insights on profit protection and operational performance.
* Utilising retail systems and surveillance tools to monitor performance and detect vulnerabilities.
* Leveraging data visualisation and reporting tools to communicate findings and recommendations.
* Implementing new technologies to improve retail productivity and profit protection in retail.
Who you are…
* Proven experience in retail profit protection and operational productivity.
* Expertise in risk management, loss prevention, and compliance.
* Knowledge of retail operations, including workforce planning and process optimisation.
* Proficiency in retail systems and tools, including POS and inventory management platforms.
* Ability to travel nationwide and work flexibly to support store operations.
