About the Role As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of various internal projects. With up to 40 projects in progress at any given time, your role will be instrumental in ensuring efficient project execution from inception to completion. Projects will be diverse, spanning warehouse fit-outs, new product launches, managing product life cycles, and other business growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities Work alongside the Project Manager to plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives achieved. Oversee and track project progress, addressing any potential risks or obstacles before they escalate. Prepare and maintain high-quality project documentation, including project plans, reports, and meeting minutes. Support effective communication between internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to drive project success. Manage project budgets, resources, and expenditures, ensuring cost-effective delivery. Ensure best practices in project management are followed, supporting continuous process improvements. What Our Client Are Looking For Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a project management role, ideally with exposure to operational projects rather than purely IT-focused ones. Project Management Qualification: PRINCE2 certification (or equivalent) is essential. Skillset: Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Technical Proficiency: Confident using Microsoft Office 365 and project management tools. Problem-Solving: A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, capable of overcoming project challenges. Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is required for occasional site visits. Desirable but Not Essential Experience with ERP or WMS systems.
