An exciting opportunity has arisen for a booking clerk to work at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby booking MRI patients for appointments.
Working days are Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 8.30am-5pm.
The post holder will be responsible for a variety of administration and clerical functions, including:
1. Arranging appointments using an electronic scheduling system.
2. Contacting patients via telephone and managing appointment attendances on the systems.
3. Operational use of Diagnostic Information Systems (eg, Soliton, Lorenzo, WebV) to register patients attending the departments, ensuring the data entered is accurate and correct.
4. Answering telephone queries in a timely manner.
5. Demonstrating tasks to new starters as directed.
6. Working with other patient administration departments in line with the continuing needs of the NHS plan and other developments in health care.
7. Attending any relevant training courses necessary to ensure effective delivery of the role and maintain personal development.
8. Understanding and adhering to the concept of confidentiality to ensure that this important aspect of care is not breached.
9. Safeguarding at all times the confidentiality of information in relation to patients and staff.
