My client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a proven track record in managing complex projects within the local government sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring alignment with local government standards and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and deliverables.
* Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Implement project management methodologies and best practices to ensure project success.
* Collaborate with government stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements.
* Manage communication with all stakeholders, including project status reports and updates.
* Facilitate decision-making processes and resolve conflicts to maintain project momentum.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
* Develop contingency plans and adjust project plans as necessary to address emerging challenges.
* Ensure all projects adhere to government regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
* Implement quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet expected standards.
* Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure financial compliance.
* Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and technology.
Qualifications:
* PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
* Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects with multiple stakeholders.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* In-depth knowledge of local government IT regulations and compliance standards.
* Proficiency in project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project or JIRA.
