Job Description VP Product Delivery, Customer Experience Flexible working patterns considered Derby / Hybrid 3 days on-site What you will be doing: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Digital and IT team, based in Derby. Civil Aerospace are developing their next generation Digital products, leveraging Big Data and Cloud technologies to enhance and accelerate our Digital Twin capabilities and drive improved Customer Experience. Playing a pivotal part in our success, you will be responsible for both in-house and supply-chain software DevOps teams and manage a diverse application portfolio within our customer experience platform. We’re looking for someone who is passionate and experienced in building high performance DevOps teams that people love to work in, and who loves to evangelise the benefits of Technology to both technical and non-technical communities. Working closely with business stakeholders, you will lead a product portfolio of Digital Products with a diverse user base from internal RR SMEs to external customers. You will manage cross functional DevOps teams to ensure these products are enhanced, operated and supported effectively and compliantly and sustainably. These teams will be a combination of in-house and supply-chain software DevOps teams working principally to DevOps methodologies. Working with multiple cross functional delivery teams, you will need to navigate problems while collaborating proactively and energetically at all levels within the organization. You will need to use your business knowledge and customer focus to ensure solutions deliver capabilities to customers within a coherent portfolio. Responsibilities: Take ownership of all aspects of application DevOps within your portfolio, including service management and software development and operations metrics. Take responsibility for business performance within your portfolio, including managing budgets, cashflows, and performing directorial responsibilities for associated legal entities. Take accountability for the effective, sustained operational performance of your product, ensuring technical debt, availability and cost are managed effectively and working in conjunction with architects to ensure there is an effective architectural roadmap. Form and maintain high performing cross-functional DevOps teams, working with diverse in-house and supplier resources. Design and operate a scalable delivery organisation, capable of adapting rapidly to changing business demands and priorities.
